About Wit

Composer, singer-songwriter, author - Wit is an artist who incorporates his musical influences of rock, classical, and new age with a zen style of poetic lyrics.

Nicknamed, “The Observer”, one cannot box Wit into one category. Wit plays many instruments and styles, he enjoys singing rock the most. Wit’s vocal style ranges from overtone singing, classical, jazz, pop, and rock.

Wit is known for his song, "The President".

In addition to writing and performing rock, Wit is the author of, "Secrets to the Universe ". His thought-provoking (sometimes controversial) observations of the Universe, which he transfers into poetry, inspirational thought, and lyrics, inspire his fans to a newfound enjoyment for life as well as discovery. Wit is creating a new art (Zen Rock). With this synergy of disciplines that is thought provoking and complex he is leaving his imprint on American Music.

About Open Streets Santa Cruz

OSSCC fosters individual and community health through creative use of public space.

OSSCC organizes FREE, family-friendly community events which temporarily divert car traffic and open the roadway for people to bike, walk and play in a safe, fun and car-free environment.

Events include robust and interactive experience focused on recreation and education: dancing, arts and crafts, hula hooping, music and performances, mobile libraries, and educational outreach booths hosted by local community organizations and sponsors.

OSSCC partners with a variety of public, non-profit and private organizations, including neighborhood and community groups; environmental, health, and bicycle/pedestrian advocacy organizations; parks and recreation and health departments; and variously focused transportation agencies.

Our vision is a sustained program of repeating events in diverse locations of Santa Cruz County.

• Foster community, civic pride and quality of life
• Increase safety and access to the roadway for users of all ages, abilities and modes
